I guess you became more interested at the sight of $49.99 for a smartphone; however, that’s the truth. But given the cheap pricing of this device, you definitely shouldn’t expect much from it, or so you think. Design & Display
It is amazing to know that this cheap device uses a metal frame all round the edge of the body giving the phone a luxurious look to the eyes. With a smooth finish and a sleek build, the Cagabi One can be quite comfortable on the hands.
The display on the Cagabi One is a 5-inch IPS one with HD resolution. The display is not bad – and not too good either – as it delivers bright and vivid colors; also the display has a large 175 degree viewing angle.
Hardware, OS & Marshmallow
Since this is a budget device, you shouldn’t be surprised to find low-end hardware on the Cagabi One. True to that, you get the MTK6580A chipset with a 1.3GHz quad-core CPU running the Cagabi One.
There is 1gig of RAM and 8GB of internal storage on this smartphone. However, you can get a 2GB RAM + 16GB ROM variant of the Cagabi One for some extra bucks – called the Cagabi One Plus.
Software running on the Cagabi One is Google’s Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. One good side to this is the fact that the Cagabi One can be updated to the latest Android 7.0 Nougat OS via OTA; really nice, eh?
Cameras
The rear camera is 8MP on the Cagabi One with a 5MP shooter on selfie duty. Both cameras come with LED flash. While the selfie cam uses a single LED flash, there are two flashlights at the back for shooting in low-light conditions. The quality of the cameras on this device is definitely not going to be top-notch, but you should that from a sub-$50 smartphone.
Funnily, there is a Gorilla Glass covering the rear camera for increased durability and better light absorption.
Battery & Connectivity
You’ll have to manage with the battery life on the Cagabi One. At 2200mAh battery capacity, there is so much that is desired from this device.
And for connectivity, you get the usual Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi support, and surprisingly 4G/LTE support and VoLTE capability.
Conclusion
As with most new brands in the market, Cagabi aims to capture the minds of smartphone users with their affordable devices. Their first device, the Cagabi One, is a testament to this fact.
