Cubot Note 20 with Quad Rear Camera, Helio A22 Chipset, 3 GB RAM

The Cubot Note 20 is a device that has entry-level features and specs mixed up in a way to give the impression that it is a mid-range phone. At one point, checking out the fact that this device comes with four cameras at the rear makes it look like it could be compared with more premium phones from Vivo or Huawei. In this review, we take a look at what’s good and what’s not in Cubot Note 20.

Cubot Note 20 Design & Display

The dimensions are 155.8 x 77 x 9.1 mm and it weighs 150 grams. The body material is made of premium plastic. Furthermore, the phone has a dual SIM and it comes in green and black colors.

For the display, there is an IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen of 16 million colors. The display size is 6.26 inches which up to modern standards. Also, the screen to body ratio is 81.5 percent, while the pixel density is 268 ppi. It is multi-touch up to 5 fingers and the protection of the display is Corning Gorilla Glass 3, together with 2.5D Curved Glass.

Cubot Note 20 Processor

Cubot Note 20 is powered by MediaTek MT6761 Helio A22. It has a process technology of 12 nm, which suggests relative speed. The CPU speed is 2.0 GHz, and the GPU is PowerVR GE8320.

RAM/Storage Features

This department includes 3 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage. The card slot allows the use of a microSD card to boost memory up to 64 GB.

Battery Capacity

Powering the Cubot Note 20 is a non-removable Li-Ion 5000 mAh battery. It comes without fast charging and also there’s no wireless charging support for it. Speaker and Call Quality

The Cubot Note 20 has a loudspeaker that is good for audio while a call is on-going. The loudspeaker is placed below the display. It is even possible for calls to be made easily in areas where it is relatively noisy. Also, the audio jack type is 3.5mm. The speaker works nicely for sounds such as ringtones, notifications, etc.

Software Features & Sensors

Android 10 is the operating system found on this device and the sensors are accelerometer, proximity, fingerprint, and other sensors.

Camera, Video, and Image Quality

Cubot Note 20 specs reveal four cameras at the rear. These are 12 MP + 2 MP + 2 MP + 0.3 MP. At the front, there is an 8 MP camera as well. Thus, camera features include HDR, panorama, LED flash, digital zoom, autofocus, and many more. The cameras are unable to snap high-quality images or videos during the day or night. Video performance is 720p or 1080p.

Cubot Note 20 Price

The selling price of Cubot Note 20 is $85. In Nigeria, that would amount to about N32,300 Naira. However, we don’t assure that buyers can get it at the same price because of the possibility of price change.

The Verdict

Starting from the price of the Cubot Note 20, we think this is a good one for a device of this nature. We especially love the battery inside the phone although it is large and analysts may think that it is too heavy to be in a phone that has a processor, display, and camera such as the phone has. However, this is an attraction for someone who loves to have a good battery backup. This seems to be the main attraction for buyers, who may be at awe for the quad rear camera features until they have seen that it wasn’t all that powerful.
