DESIGN & DISPLAY
Cubot CHEETAH 2 4G Phablet has a beautifully designed body that houses a 5.5-inch screen. The screen is big enough for almost any function a device is needed for. It is also agreeable that 5.5 inches devices are the latest trend now, so we have evolved into seeing devices of such size as “normal” and not too big.
Moving forward, the screen isn’t just any kind of screen as it produces pictures or images in Full HD display. The 1920 x 1080 pixels screen resolution of this phone is also a big plus to the screen characteristics. The large screen, full HD and great resolution combo hold great promise in providing high-quality image and video display, taking HD to another level.
On the Cubot CHEETAH 2, there is a provision for 16 backlights just right beneath the screen. This 16 backlight, according to Cubot, will help to improve brightness up to 30%. The IPS type of display on this Phablet protects the screen from any kind of accidental fall damage, while at the same time producing better colour reproduction and viewing angles.
On the CHEETAH, Cubot did an excellent and innovative job by bringing on the IMD Technology, which provides “anti-friction and anti-scuffing”. With the anti-friction and anti-scuffing, your phone will never fade and always give you a bright look. Also, when the device is held, a soft and comfortable feel is observed. Very comfortable in hand.
The 4G Phablet is available in two colours, Golden and Blue.
PROCESSOR & OS
Processor-wise, the Cubot CHEETAH, boasts of an Octacore processor with 1.3 GHz processor speed. A MediaTek MTK6753 64 bit chipset is also found in the phablet. One highlight is the 3GB RAM that Cubot planted on this device. Mobile processes like Gaming and multitasking will run as smoothly as you want then too. And 32 GB ROM? Enough space to store file data.
The CHEETAH comes out of the box with Android Marshmallow 6.0, quite disappointed with Cubot on this one. We are in the Android 7.0 era already, and even news about Android 8.0 are already emerging.
CAMERA
On this phablet, a 13MP rear camera was elegantly placed on the back. The 13MP shooter has Samsung 3L8 Sensor IC. On the front, an 8MP selfie camera with Sony IMX219 Sensor can be found. The images captured from this 4G Phablet are of crystal clear quality.
The rear camera has Touch focus, Autofocus and flashlight, all of which are work hand in hand to take quality photographs. The selfie lovers would particularly love the 8MP camera.
BATTERY
In the battery department, the Cubot CHEETAH 2 Phablet has a non-removable 3,000mAh battery.
Given the big screen, processor and other factors that consume battery juice, the Cheetah 2’s innovative CPU Frequency technology helps control the power consumption effectively and improve the battery lifetime.
VERDICT
Large screen, great rear camera, fantastic selfie shooter, more-than-average battery life and a large 3GB RAM. What else do you need in a device, please? This is definitely a seller! Awesome from Cubot.
