Energizer Power Max P490S was announced by Avenir Telecom last month with an jumbo 4,000 mAh battery. The smartphone is scheduled for release in this month of March. Before hand, the OEM has been notable for its production of mostly battery-focused smartphones. It’s a thing of consistency to see this smartphone also continuing the trend. Design & Display
The smartphone sports the 2.5D curved glass at its fore to make the device attractive upon first sight. However, its body is engulfed in plastic and a metal frame. The top bezel bears a dual camera, LED flash, earpiece and light sensor. The base bezel on the other hand contains the Android navigation buttons while the side of the smartphone houses the dedicated keys. Black is the only color availability of the Energizer Power Max P490S.

The smartphone has a 4.95-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. Its pixel density is 217 PPI while the display colors hits the 16 million mark. Guiding the smartphone when it falls is the Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Added to that, the device has an 18:9 aspect ratio. Also present on the display is the 24 bit color depth and multi-touch input.
Camera
Camera functions on the smartphone are allocated to a quad camera setup consisting of two at the back and two at the front. The front camera’s qualities are 8 MP and 0.3 MP. A LED is available to provide brightness in dark conditions. Also at the back, the camera qualities are 8 MP and 0.3 MP. The rear camera also has a single LED flash for brightening in low light areas. Features such as HDR, panorama, auto focus, face detection and geo tagging are present in the camera department.
CPU, OS & Storage
MediaTek MT6739 serves the chipset functions on the smartphone. Within it, a Quad-core processor that clocks at 1.3 GHz is located. This 32-bit CPU adopts the 28 nm process technology. In the graphics area, the device has the PowerVR GE8100 GPU to itself. This GPU clock at a speed of 570 MHz. Android 8.0 Oreo runs on the smartphone as the software. Handling the multitasking on the smartphone is a 2 GB LPDDR3 RAM. The ROM of the phone can store files up to 16 GB, and it can also be extended to 128 GB with the help of a MicroSD card.
Battery
What powers the smartphone is a non-removable Li-Poly 4,000 mAh battery. With USB OTG, the device can be used as a power bank.
