You bet, Goophone Note 9 is very much the bravest move to clone Samsung Galaxy Note 9. It is not the first time that Goophone has tried that. The company is known for offering flagship phones cloned from other brands and presented to its fans.

This latest release, announced in November and unveiled in December 2018 even comes with its own stylus pen and although it is made of plastic, when you look from a distance, it is hard to believe because it looks so beautiful, yet, it is a 3G Android device.

In this review, we will look at the specifications such as price, camera, design, battery, performance, etc of Goophone Note 9.

Design and Display of Goophone Note 9

This is a phone that sports plastic body design that looks great. Dimensions and weight specs are not specified. Further, this mobile device comes in black, blue, and gold colors. Nevertheless, it is not a water resistant device, but has screen protection features.

Display type is HD IPS LCD capacitive touch screen, which comes without a secondary display. The display screen size is 6.3 inches, pixel density is 233 ppi, and pixel resolution is 1280 x 720. Further, display colors in the device are 16 million.

Aspect ratio is 18:9, screen to body ratio is 83 percent. Pleasant features are 2.5D curved glass.

Camera Features

There is dual primary rear camera of 8 MP and 0.3 MP, which comes with dual LED flash. The camera setup at the front for selfies is 5 MP. It comes without LED flash option. However, video performance is of 720p@30fps FHD recording.

Other outstanding features of the cameras are geo-tagging, auto focus, touch focus, panorama, HDR, face detection and others.

Hardware and Software

Besides, Android OS v7.0 Nougat comes with Goophone Note 9 as the operating system. We cannot tell if this will be able to upgrade to Android 9 Pie operating system. Also, MediaTek MT6580 chipset is powering the device. Accordingly, process technology is 28nm, and there is also 64-bit architecture.

Its CPU comprises of 1.3 GHz Quad-core, while the GPU is ARM Mali 400.

Storage Capacity and Sensors Goophone Note 9

The device has a meager 1GB of RAM which cannot be expanded in this department but the internal storage of 16GB can be increased through the use of micro-SD card with a dedicated slot up to 64GB external storage. Sensors found on the device are accelerometer, proximity, light, and fingerprint.

Network and Connectivity

This smartphone is a 3G Android phone operating effectively on GSM and HSPA networks. So there is 2G and 3G, and isn’t 4G available in the smartphone. Also, there are two nano SIM card slots in the device.

Furthermore, other relevant components are Bluetooth v4.2, Wi-Fi, mobile hotspot, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, headphone jack, and micro USB 2.0.

Battery Life

Powering the Goophone Note 9 is a Li-Po 2800 mAh non-removable battery which does not have wireless charging and no fast charging technology. Similarly, the talk time and standby time are not specified.
