The new NEXT 1.5 update for No Man’s Sky came with a new feature which players have been really expectant of. Now, players can switch between first person and third person view while walking or flying.
Players on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC can all use this features as soon as they start playing for the first time. One great thing about the implementation of the third person is that you can now select different options whether you are playing the game while in a vehicle or on foot.
For example, you can choose to play in third person view while playing on foot and switch instantly to the first person as soon as you enter a vehicle.

How to Switch Between First And Third Person View In No Man’s Sky
First off, you have to go to the Quick Menu in the game. By default, you can access this menu by pressing the X key on your keyboard or the D-Pad on your controller. A menu should appear on your screen similar to the image below.
Open ‘Utilities’ in the Quick Menu
Use the navigation buttons to go to the Utilities section which is on the left side of the screen. Select it. Now, you should see the Next area of the Quick Menu.
Select ‘Switch Starship View’
On the right side of the screen, you have the option to select “Switch Starship View.” This will switch between third and first person view. To change your view in the ship, you need to make sure that this is set while you are on the ship.
If you also want to change your view while on foot, simply repeat the steps above while you are on foot.
