DESIGN
Going by measurements first, the device measures 146.8 x 70.9 x 8.4 mm. This comes as it weighs just 140 g and proves to be the most comfortable device you can carry around. The HTC Desire 555 device comes only in the gray color variant. I sure do not need to emphasize how much efforts HTC put in their phone’s design. I cannot pin point any HTC phone that is short of being beautiful.
DISPLAY
Having a display size of 5.0 inches, the device has a display resolution amounting to 720 x 1280 pixels. A TFT technology display is what the display features with a 66.24 % screen to body ratio. A pixel density of 294 ppi would take care of the on-screen images and icons. On our own opinion, we think the pixel density is quite small. The display features the proximity sensor.
PROCESSOR AND OS
This HTC Desire 555 device runs on an Android operating system (v7.0). It is built on a Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 8909 processor. This comes with a processor speed of 1100 MHz.
INTERNAL STORAGE AND RAM
For your storage of music, videos, files and many other documents, the device avails users with a 16 GB space. What is more surprising is that this space can be expanded to the tune of 2000 GB. How huge. A micro SD card comes into play here though. While taking care of the smooth running of the device applications is a modest 2 GB RAM.
CAMERA
On the rear of the device, there’s an 8 MP camera and a LED flash. While on the front, a 5 MP camera is present. Other features of the camera include Voice activation, Self-timer, Digital zoom and Geo tagging. What is quite disappointing here is that the camera lacks autofocus which isn’t cool at all.
BATTERY
As its powerhouse, the HTC Desire 555 device packs a 2200 mAh. Talk time for 3G is set at 13.80 hours, while Stand-by time (3G) is pegged at 25.8 days (618 hours). Obviously, this device would be very well suited for light smartphone users. Average and heavy smartphone users would need to get a better capacity. That is if they are to maximize their smartphone life to its fullest.
