Huawei P Smart (2024) – what’s new on this Android smartphone?

The new smartphone Huawei P Smart (2019) has arrived, an Android device for the mid-range segment. Firstly, this is the successor of P Smart (original), launched during the first quarter of 2018, a presence already common in Portugal.

Second, the new Android smartphone ends up improving some of the key parameters of the mobile device. Especially at processor level and processing power. Yes, we have here the new  Kirin 710 from  Hisilicon. This is a major improvement over Kirin 659, present in its predecessor.

Third, this Huawei P Smart (2019) was introduced yesterday, after several months of rumors and information leaks. It features a 6.21-inch diagonal screen with an IPS LCD panel as well as Full-HD + resolution. So with, 1080 × 2340 pixels.

What brings back Huawei P Smart (2019)?

In this sense we have here a captivating device, with a screen already quite an appetizer, endowed with the format 19.5- 9, being therefore tall and narrow. At the same time, we also have 3GB of RAM as well as 64GB of internal expandable storage. All this with a 3400mAh battery, a great capacity for a device that continues to be quite thin and stylish. Note also that it is built in metal and glass.

Therefore, we have a very attractive screen, especially now that it is endowed with a U-shaped notch or drop of water. This is a very elegant and even discreet approach. Your headset is now at the top edge of your Android smartphone.

It’s the new mid-range Android smartphone!

In terms of technical characteristics, the Android Pie 9.0 operating system with EMUI 9.0 should also be highlighted first. This is the latest version of the operating system from Google is already present in this mid-range smartphone.

At the same time, we also have the latest version of the Chinese manufacturer’s interface, its  Emotion UI or simply, EMUI 9.0. All this with a dual camera on its rear with a 13MP sensor and f / 2.2 focal aperture. We also have a secondary camera, in the rear, with a resolution of 2MP.

However, let’s not forget your 8MP front camera for all your selfies and video calls. In short, a camera configuration already capable and that promises to provide good moments to its end user.

Unfortunately, this Android smartphone even features a micro USB 2.0 port on its bottom. Something that in 2024 and above all by 2019, should have been definitively eradicated from the current technological panorama.

In short, the new Huawei P Smart (2019), although not perfect, is quite captivating. Especially if your retail price is effectively between € 200 and € 250 for Portugal.
