Huawei’s ‘Hole Punch’ Nova 4 Gets Launch Date

Notch display? No, not for Huawei’s new Nova 4 smartphone launching on the stable of Huawei very soon. It will rather be a hole punch for the new device. So far, 2018 has been the year of the notch for smartphones but there are indications that 2019 may be the year of the hole punch for mobile phones.

Nova 4, from the stable of Huawei, will come with a display that has tiny round cutout to accommodate for selfie camera. We can expect this as early as December 17, 2018. This information has been released in a teaser. Fans are now on the lookout to see how the device will really look like. Of course, they have called it harbinger of good things to come.

Will the next from HUawei be able to kill the notch with a hole punch selfie camera? Maybe not.

Above all, not much information has been revealed about the device. The very much important detail is the launch date. But we are in the process of seeing of seeing more about this smartphone in pictures found on the internet. Those pictures only tell a little about the smartphone as the pictures are often obscured. There are information that both the leak and the official new image show a small but noticeable chin on the bottom of the display.

The phone specs information is promising in a sense that fans should be expecting one of the best mid range phones out there. However, it is said that it will not be as powerful as some of Huawei’s most powerful smartphones, such as the P or Mate lines of flagship products.

Another phone that may have the hole punch tech is Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S10. However, the Samsung hole punch phone is not to be expected till several months from now. Another difference is that the Samsung phone may sell its phone in the US but Huawei has been banned from selling phones in the country.

Samsung’s technology is said to be arriving and featuring the new Infinity O display on Galaxy A8 and the O is said to be in there for the circular camera hole.

It was heard before that Samsung with the hole punch technology will arrive at the end of December. Now, it looks unlikely that it would happen, so Huawei may beat Samsung to it.
