Infinix has officially launched the Hot 4 smartphone in Nigeria. The Infinix Hot 4 X557 takes over from the delectable Hot 3 which was released early this year and had performed solidly in the market. The Hot 4 is coming just weeks after the Infinix Hot S went official and we did do an extensive hands-on review of the Hot S here. Quite curiously, Infinix decided to release the Hot 4 quietly, without pump or pageantry.
The Infinix Hot 4 X557 hits the market with a number of beautiful features, with a modest price tag. The Hot 4 X557 sports a 5.5-inch display with resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The smartphone equally runs on Infinix’s custom XOS user interface based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow which was also featured in the Hot S.
The Infinix Hot 4 X557 comes powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6580 processor packing along 2GB of RAM as well as 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded to provide up to 32GB of space more.
On the camera terrain, the Infinix Hot 4 X557 stuffs an ample 8MP camera at its rear which equally has LED flash with it and on the front camera there is a 5MP sensor for selfie snapshots. The device comes with dual SIM support, both micro SIMs and a separate microSD slot. The Hot 4 features a host of connectivity options such as USB v2.0, Bluetooth, WiFi and Mobile Hotspot but unfortunately, the smartphone does not support 4G LTE connectivity.
Added to all of these, the Infinix Hot 4 X557 sports a fingerprint sensor at the back, under the rear camera unit. The smartphone also crams a monstrous 4000mAh battery under its hood which is bound to give some long hours of use.

The Infinix Hot 4 X557 comes in four attractive colors namely, Gold, Green, Black, Red and Blue and has a budget price tag ranging from 35,000 Naira in Nigeria to 37,000 Naira. The device is already listed on Jumia Nigeria with a price tag of N36,900 but it is not yet available in Kenya, Ghana, Egypt or any other country.
