(Last minute) This is the PlayStation 5 controller! (DualSense)

Sony promised new details about the PS5 and delivered! Out of nowhere, we had the Japanese giant showing the new command of its new generation console on social networks, in what is probably the biggest redesign of DualShock ever, but that still does not seem to bring the touch screen that so many people wanted.

First of all, this is the PlayStation 5 wireless controller!

Therefore, Sony has already finished the design of the new DualShock 5, after all called DualSense, and has already started sending it to developers, so that they have the opportunity to add the news in their games. A command that apparently has the great objective of taking care of the players’ senses.

So, Sony decided to continue with a lot of what DualShock 4 had to offer, at the same time that it also decided to improve the design which was already a little ‘old’! Bringing some really innovative features like Haptic Feedback and Adaptive Triggers, so that the controller itself changes from game to game, and in fact, from player to player.

As for the buttons, the ‘Share’ button has completely disappeared to make room for the ‘Create’ button, in order to highlight Sony’s new content sharing strategy with the new PlayStation 5. (Details below).

In addition, we will also be able to find a built-in microphone, to allow conversations without earphones or headphones. However, in Sony’s own words, it is only a solution for quick conversations, and not something to use in all games.

However, here’s what Sony has to say about the revelation:

DualSense marks a radical departure from our previous controller offerings and captures just how strongly we feel about making a generational leap with PS5. The new controller, along with the many innovative features in PS5, will be transformative for games. Continuing our mission at PlayStation to push the boundaries of play, now and in the future.

To the PlayStation community, I truly want to thank you for sharing this exciting journey with us! As we head toward PS5’s launch in Holiday 2020. We look forward to sharing more information about PS5, including the console design, in the coming months. ” – Jim Ryan, President & CEO, Sony Interactive Entertainment. ”
