Lenovo has launched a mid-range entry device into the tablet market in India. Unveiled just a day after the Moto Tab from Motorola was launched in the US, the Lenovo Tab 7 is affordable and comes with 4G LTE support and voice calling in India. Let’s see how the Lenovo Tab 7 fairs all-round.
Lenovo Tab 7 Specifications, Review and Highlights
Display
The Lenovo Tab 7 sports a 7-inch HD display based on IPS technology that is great for binge-watching videos on Netflix or on YouTube, meaning crisp and clear image production from every angle. The multi-touch screen offers 1280 by 720 pixels of resolution.
Design
The tablet’s plastic frame is covered up in slate black hue. The Lenovo Tab 7 is 8.4mm thick thanks to sporting thick bezels all around the display but however weighs a reasonable 260g which makes it really comfy on the palms, but not inside your pocket.
Storage & Processor
The Lenovo Tab 7 is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT8161 processor plus Mali-T720 GPU running on 1GB of RAM. It is a decent enough setup on the chipset that should offer a comfy user experience, although it isn’t a go-to for high-end games. The device comes with built-in 16GB of ROM with support for expansion using a MicroSD.
The tablet offers a 5MP Autofocus rear camera. Tablets might not be the ideal devices for taking pictures these days, but just in case, the rear LED Flash would come in handy in low-light conditions. On the other end, it sports a 2MP fixed focus camera.
Battery & Connectivity
Enclosed within the frames of the Lenovo Tab 7 is a 3500mAh Li-Po battery that can offer 15hours of average use on full charge. Connectivity options include; Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, 4G LTE(optional).
Software
Lenovo Tab 7 runs on Android’s Nougat 7.0 Operating System pre-installed.
