Lenovo is now focusing more on the camera for its latest smartphone. Lenovo Vibe Shot is a smartphone designed to look just like a digital camera. Samsung and Nokia have previously engaged in experimenting with smartphones that look more like dedicated cameras, and now Lenovo thinks it has its own solution to this.
Design & Camera
The Lenovo Vibe Shot is a well designed and affordable mid-range smartphone which offer a great solution to camera experience with its 16-megapixel camera at the back, laced with a tri-colour flash module and infrared auto-focus, encased in an aluminum body that looks like a compact Sony point-and-shoot digital camera.
Lenovo is aiming at appealing to camera enthusiasts with a physical camera button that includes a 2-stage shutter release to activate autofocus when it’s pressed halfway and go for a clean shot when fully pressed. The 2-stage shutter release seams to be unusual for an Android-powered device, but a welcome addition for those who like to use a button instead of on-screen controls.
There’s also a physical slider to flick between smart mode and pro mode. It’s like activating the mute switch on an iPhone, but it changes the camera app user interface entirely. On smart mode it’s mainly automatic, but pro mode offers up options to change the ISO level, white balance, exposure, and many more settings.
Display
The Lenovo Vibe Shot is packed into a full HD capacitive display. it measures a screen size of 5″ display and with a resolution of about 1080×1920 pixels offering 16,000,000 color display.
Operating System & Memory
Lenovo Vibe Shot is powered with Android Lollipop 5.0 out of the box. Specifications also include a 1.7GHz MediaTek processor, 3GB RAM, and 32GB internal storage. It’s a basic smartphone at an affordable price.
Connectivity
On the Connectivity front, the Lenovo Vibe shot gives supports for GSM, 3G, 4G, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS, Bluetooth, and Micro-USB.
Battery
The Lenovo Vibe Shot is powered by a non removable 2,900mAh Li-Po battery which should be able to withstand a whole day of regular user
