The innovative smartphone maker was one of the first to adopt USB Type C in the Asian market. The LeEco Le S3 device is a budget-friendly version of the high-end LeEco Le Pro S3. The smartphone however still maintains quite similar features but just with some little compromises. The company offers a range of quality products, and the new smartphone is one of them with an impressive spec sheet for a relatively low price.
DESIGN AND DISPLAY
When it comes to the design the LeEco Le 23 is the same as the high-end version, the LeEco Le Pro 3. the major difference between the two device lies inside just the hardware sets this two apart. The device as an excellent metallic unibody which is the standard build of most high-end devices. The metallic material gives a more attractive and premium feel, although the design is generic.
The LeEco Le S3 is available in three colour variant which is the gold, rose gold and silver models. The device has a dimension of 151.1 x 73.9 x 7.5 mm and weighs about 153g. The smartphone has a nice slim build which makes it more comfortable to handle.
LeEco Le S3 sports a 5.5-inches 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution full HD display with a 24-bit colour depth. Still, on the screen, you get a 2.5D curved glass screen with IPS LCD technology and a pixel density of 401ppi. The device is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 which helps in maintaining a scratch free screen. The display is very much enjoyable with a screen to body ratio of about 75%.
CPU, OS AND STORAGE
While the LeEco Le S3 offers a comparatively less powerful processor to the LeEco Le Pro 3, however, the device still has one of the top-notch low-end processors, and you are surely going to get your money’s worth.The Le S3 smartphone is powered by MediaTek’s Helio X20 MT6797 chipset with a deca-core 2 x 2.3 GHz ARM Cortex-A72, 4 x 2.0 GHz ARM Cortex-A53 and a 4 x 1.4 GHz ARM Cortex-A53. Also included is a 64-bit build alongside a four core ARM Mali-T880 MP4 GPU.
There are are two variants – an LPDDR3 4GB internal memory and a 32GB internal storage which is not expandable because of the absence of memory card slot. The LeEco Le S3 Pro runs an Android 6.0 Marshmallow with LeEco’s EUI 5.8.
BATTERY AND CAMERA
Powering the LeEco Le S3 smartphone os non-removable 3000mAh Lithium polymer battery that gives you a standby time of about 300 hours. The device features a 21MP rear camera with LED flash and a front camera of 8MP.
