LG Q Stylus has been unveiled by the tech giant, the device comes with the new QLens technology and a stylus pen. The Q Stylus is one of the most affordable smartphones to come with a Stylus Pen.
It features DTS:X 3D surround sound with IP68 certifications, there’s 32GB storage space, 3GB of RAM and a moderate battery. It’s built around a tall 6.2-inch screen with an octa-core processor. Without further ado, lets meet the LG Q Stylus.
Design
It looks very different from what we typically see from LG but not far from it. It has aluminium alloy overall unibody that’s quite pleasing to the eye, with its MIL-STD-810G compliant, the device is literally ready for anything thrown at it, thanks to its rugged-like body.
It has IP68 certifications, offering dust and water resistant and providing overall durability to say the least. There’s a fingerprint scanner as well as a Stylus pen it comes with. It measures 8.4 mm in thickness and weighs 172g overall. It will be available in Aurora Black, Moroccan Blue and Lavender Violet colors.
Display
It will be nice to see a notched screen smartphone come with a Stylus pen, but that’s not the case here. The LG Q Stylus is built around a tall 18:9 aspect ratio screen, for the normal full view experience. The bezels are also very minimal, you won’t notice it’s there at all.
The tall 6.2-inch FHD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen boasts of 1080 x 2160 pixels in resolution. It has 389 pixel per inch density ensuring details on the screen comes out great. Furthermore, the screen stretches up to 80% of the entire front, which is impressive for a Phablet in its price range.
Hardware and Software
Under the hood, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 is in charge, it’s built on a 14nm process technology, which offers improved power efficiency. It packs 8-Cores of processor which clocks at a smooth speed of 1.8GHz as well. The Adreno 506 graphics processor handles graphics and clocks at 600MHz.
There’s 3GB RAM space available with a memory speed of 933MHz for multitasking. While the storage space is pegged at 32GB, with option to expand further up to 400GB using a memory card. The LG Q Stylus runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with modified user interface.
Camera
The Q Stylus is equipped with a 16MP rear shooter which has f/2.0 aperture like phase detection autofocus, LED flash, Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama, HDR. Videos of 1080p can be recorded at @30fps. While the 8MP selfie camera here takes beautiful portraits.
Battery
Powering the LG Q Stylus is a 3300mAh non-removable Li-Ion battery with fast charging technology. With the fast charging feature, charging the battery from 0% to 100% shouldn’t take up to 2 hours.
