LG Q Stylus Plus is the more expensive and advanced variant of the Q Stylus smartphone we reviewed earlier. The Q Stylus Plus was created for those that needs bigger RAM, more storage space, improved performance and better camera.
The Plus Version comes with the QLens technology, a stylus pen, 4GB of RAM and. 64GB storage. It also features a tall screen, the DTS:X 3D surround sound with IP68 certifications as well. Lets find out more.
Design
The Q Stylus Plus looking exactly like its little sibling, sporting an aluminium alloy overall unibody. This has military grade MIL-STD-810G compliant, and can survive from a few falls and pressure. With its IP68 certifications, you’re safe when taking this to the pool.
It’s also scratch resistant, you won’t be seeing all those unwanted scratches on this smartphone. Furthermore, the fingerprint scanner offers a biometric access to the device. It measures 8.4 mm in thickness and weighs 172g overall. It will be available in Aurora Black, Moroccan Blue and Lavender Violet colors.
Display
There’s no difference in terms of display here, the Plus version is built around the same tall 18:9 aspect ratio screen, for the normal full view experience. The narrow bezels are super tiny, this dishes out taller visuals in landscape mode.
The 6.2-inch FHD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen brings out stunning colors. The resolution is still the same at 1080 x 2160 pixels and 389 pixel per inch density, offering clear visuals. Impressively, the screen stretches up to 80% screen-to-body ratio.
Hardware and Software
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 runs the race here, the chipset is built on a power efficient 14nm process technology. It has 8-Cores of processor which clocks at a smooth speed of 1.8GHz for improved performance. The Adreno 506 graphics processor controls graphics and clocks at 600MHz.
You get to multitask through more heavy apps with 4GB RAM space available, this has a memory speed of 933MHz for a smooth ride. The storage has been expanded up to 64GB, but you can take it up a notch using a memory card, up to 400GB. The LG Q Stylus Plus runs smoothly on Android 8.1 Oreo with modified user interface.
Camera
The Q Stylus Plus is equipped with the same 16MP rear shooter we saw on the Q Stylus. The camera has f/2.0 aperture with other features like phase detection autofocus, LED flash, Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama, HDR. Videos of 1080p can be recorded at @30fps. While the 8MP selfie camera here takes beautiful portraits.
Battery
Powering the LG Q Stylus Plus is a 3300mAh non-removable Li-Ion battery with fast charging technology. With the fast charging feature, charging the battery from 0% to 100% shouldn’t take up to 2 hours.
