Microsoft has banned paid game updates for Xbox Series X!

Microsoft can be very friendly with the studios, all in an effort to finally steal the throne from Sony PlayStation … But if there is one thing the North American giant is trying to avoid, it is that players on their Xbox consoles have to pay for the same game twice.

That is, Microsoft does not want the studios to sell game ‘updates’ to the next generation.

Therefore, internal Microsoft sources suggest that the company has already warned partners that this type of strategy is a big no in their eyes. So, instead of allowing studios to make a few extra bucks, the head of Xbox consoles wants her Smart Delivery program to be the most sensible choice for everyone. (Which in turn selects and installs the best version of the game for your console or PC).

Thus, studios and publishers have only two options, or enter the Smart Delivery program and look good in the eyes of the players, or else launch versions for the current generation and the next… Something that can make more money right away, but certainly will leave a bitter taste in the players’ mouths! And my friends, if there is a community that doesn’t forget, this is it.

However, it is necessary to bear in mind that not all games will receive, or will even need, these updates! The Xbox Series X is able to increase the graphics quality of a game without any help!

Like? Easy, increase the resolution to 4K, increase FPS, offer higher quality Anti-Aliasing, and of course, dramatically decrease loading times thanks to the arrival of the new NVMe SSD.
