Nokia 3.1 is an affordable smartphone from Nokia that was launched this year. This phone sports a pleasant design though lacking a fingerprint scanner, but it’s still a good budget phone to buy. The Samsung Galaxy J4 which happens to be the 2018 Edition of a budget phone from Samsung is also an excellent budget phone under $160.

The smartphone lacks a fingerprint scanner for security likes it’s rival, and it sports a good body design that is durable. The Nokia 3.1 and the Samsung Galaxy J4 is in the budget category, and these phones come from popular brands with good reputations. Nokia 3.1 VS Samsung Galaxy J4 – Design

The Nokia 3.1 is built with the combination of Polycarbonate and Aluminium Alloy material. The smartphone measures 146.25 mm x 68.65 mm x 8.7 mm and it weighs 138 grams. Nokia 3.1 is available in Black, Blue, and White colors. On the Samsung Galaxy J4, you will get the phone in all plastics material, and it measures 5.97 in x 3.04 in x 0.32 in dimensions and weighs 175 grams.

It’s available in three colors variant like the Nokia 3.1, and they include Black, Orchid Gray and Gold colors with body protection. The Nokia 3.1 is lighter slimmer than it’s rival and the phone pack premium body design than the Galaxy J4. So on the overall design, the Nokia 3.1 is winning.

The Samsung Galaxy J4 has a bigger screen size of 5.5 inches HD under Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 1280 x 720 Pixels and 16:9 Ratio.

The Samsung Galaxy J4 will be offering a high detail content than the Nokia 3.1 while the Nokia 3.1 is equipped with Corning Gorilla glass and the best screen aspect ratio. So both phones have an advantage over another on the display, and they will be offering something decent to users.

Both phones feature a single rear camera of 13 Megapixels, but the Nokia 3.1 feature a brighter aperture which will deliver brighter photos and it has a dual LED flash. This will definitely perform better than the Galaxy J4 that has just 4-core and a Quad-Core processor that clocked at 1.4GHz coupled with 2GB of RAM.

The Nokia 3.1 onboard storage is either 16GB or 32GB which is also expandable while the Samsung Galaxy J4 has inbuilt storage of 16GB with Micro SD card support. Both phones are powered by Android 8.1 Oreo operating system with the Nokia 3.1 set to receive an update to Android Pie. The Nokia 3.1 has an inbuilt battery capacity of 2990mAh without fast charging technology, while the Samsung Galaxy J4 has 3000mAh battery capacity with fast charging technology.
