Obi Worldphone MV1 Unveiled at MWC2016. Check Specs

The name Obi may not ring much bells when talking about smartphone makers especially in Nigeria. However, they have been able to make their mark in the smartphone market as far as Asia is concerned. At the on going Mobile World World Congress 2016 in Barcelona the company has just a new product in its smartphone line dubbed Obi Worldphone MV1.

The company said the new Obi Worldphone MV1 will be available in two varieties. The first will sport a 2GB RAM while the second variant will come with a 3GB RAM. However, both variants will add in an internal storage of 16GB which should be enough for storing your files.

TECH SPECIFICATIONS

Delving into the specs of the Obi Worldphone MV1, it sports a 5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) display with a pixel density of 294ppi, which is protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3. Hiding right behind it is a 1.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 212
processor with an Adreno 304 GPU.

CAMERA AND STORAGE

In the camera department you will get an 8MP rear camera
with autofocus and an f/2.2 aperture. On the front, we get a 2MP sensor for selfies. Apart from the 16GB of internal storage that comes as standard on both variants, we also get microSD card support for cards of up to 32GB in capacity.

CONNECTIVITY

The connectivity options on the MV1 include, Wi-FI 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi direct, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS/A – GPS, GLONASS, and a Micro-USB port for CHARGING and data transfers.

The Obi Worldphone MV1 is expected to ship to Asia and Africa soon. Pricing for this phone is kept at N28.000
