OPPO rolls out first OTA update for F11 Pro with camera improvements and April security patch

According to reports, OPPO has started rolling out a new software update for its first mid-range smartphone with a pop-up camera – the OPPO F11 Pro which the company announced last month. The update whose build number is CPH1969EX_11_A.09 can be installed via OTA. The aim of the update is to improve the stability of the system and also add some new features to the phone.

According to the update log, it features the latest April Android security patch and helps improve system stability.

Also, there are some new camera improvements and features that accompany the update. They include HDR, Filter, Dazzle Colour mode, Beauty function in camera ultra HD quality mode. The low probability hanging issue on the F11 while answering incoming calls is also fixed in the update. The update is rolling out over-the-air, and as such, some users might not get it on their device yet. You can, however, go to the Settings app on your phone to check for the update yourself.

Whenever you do get the update on your phone, the changelog mentioned that your device might get slightly heated up for a while. However, it should get back to normal as soon as the update is complete. You are also advised to back up all important data on your phone and also make sure your phone is sufficiently charged to complete the update, though the update will not delete or modify the user data.

OPPO launched the F1 last month and the phone comes with a pop-up camera continuing the onslaught of 48-megapixel cameraphones. On the front, the phone features a 6.53-inch 1080p notch-less display and a pop-up selfie camera similar in positioning to Vivo’s new V15 Pro, albeit with slightly lower-end specs.

An Avengers-branded limited edition of the F11 Pro flagship is expected to be released in Malaysia on April 24. The OPPOF11 Pro Marvel’s Avengers Limited Edition, unlike the base OPPO F11 Pro will get be coated in Blue and Red colors with the Avengers logo designed on the rear of the phone which is similar to Captain America logo as well as a bump in storage from 64GB to 128GB, while every other spec remains unchanged.
