Oppo A73s VS Oppo A73 – what are their differences?. Oppo has released the successor to last year’s Oppo A73. The new smartphone is called the Oppo A73s. While we don’t know what the “s” stands for. The device showed up on Oppo official store. Surprisingly, the design is very identical to the Oppo Realme 1, which was released to the India market.

We know the Oppo A73 is known as Oppo F5 Youth in China. So maybe the new Oppo A73s is a global name for the Oppo Realme 1. But for this article, we’ll be comparing the new Oppo A73s with its predecessor, the Oppo A73.

Oppo ditched the rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for the Oppo A73s. So biometric security can only be done with the facial unlock technology featured on the phone. The Oppo A73 features a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and facial unlock system. You get a triangular cut pattern at the back of the Oppo A73s. And with n fingerprint sensor, the back of the Oppo A73s features just a single rear camera and LED flash. The Oppo A73s is available in only Solar Red and Diamond Black body colors. Whereas, the Oppo A73 is available in Black and Champagne body colors. Also, the top and bottom bezels featured on the Oppo A73s is quite smaller, which gives it an 84.8% screen-to-body ratio. Whereas, the Oppo A73 features a 78.26% screen-to-body ratio.

Both Oppo smartphones features AI technology to beautify images. The Oppo A73 sports a 13MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and a 16MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. Whereas, the Oppo A73s sports a 13MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture. The front-facing camera of the Oppo A73s is equipped with an 8MP selfie shooter and f/2.2 aperture. On paper, the Oppo A73 comes with a better camera spec than the Oppo A73s.

The Oppo A73s houses MediaTek Helio P60 chipset, an 8-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz and ARM Mali-G72 MP3 graphics processing unit. While the Oppo A73 is powered by MediaTek MT6763T chipset, an 8-core processor clocked at 2.5GHz and Mali-G71 MP2 graphics processing unit.

The Oppo A73 runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat with ColorOS 3.2 skin on top. While the Oppo A73s runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with ColorOS 5.0 skin on top. In terms of memory options, the Oppo A73 comes with a 3GB memory and 32GB internal storage. Whereas, the Oppo A73s comes with a 4GB memory and 64GB internal storage.
