Pano Boom P1 Review – Cheap Budget Smartphone With 3,000mAh Battery

A new entrant into the Nigerian smartphone market is the Pano Boom P1 launched by Pano Mobile. Regarding its alluring nature, the price tag it carries spearheads this nature. While the Pano Boom P1 is still hot on our lips, let’s go straight to the full details of this affordable budget smartphone. Please stay with me.


Pano Boom P1 has got a nice aesthetic. Gazing upon the device’s frontal, the curved glass on its display drags a certain beauty to behold. Its side bezels are very thin while its top and bottom bezels are thick. The top bezel contains the front camera, earpiece, flash and ambient light sensor. The bottom bezel only contains the soft Android navigation buttons. On the side of the smartphone, the power button as well as the volume keys are present. The duly furnished metallic rear is blessed with the presence of a primary camera, fingerprint scanner, dual LED flash and the “pano” logo which appears at the base. The available colours of the smartphone are Grey and Gold.

Boom P1 has an average 5.0 inches HD display touchscreen. The screen display type is the IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen. Its display has the 2.5D Curved Glass and 16 million display colours.

The smartphone’ hardware comprises of the MediaTek system-on-chip and Quad core processor. The processor with four cores clocks at a low 1.2GHz speed. The graphics on the smartphone is produced by an ARM Mali GPU. The smartphone runs on the Android v7.0 Nougat out of box. In other words, it comes with the split-screen functionality that comes with the Android OS.


The smartphone’s memory segment is very minimal. Its 1GB RAM capacity handles how fluidly the smartphone multi-tasks. Upon loading of excessive apps on the smartphone, the smartphone will get susceptible to lagging. The internal storage has an 8GB capacity for storing files such as music, videos, documents and photos. The storage can be expanded with the deployment of a micro SD card. Its expandable limit is 64GB. No 4G LTE network type present on the smartphone. 2G GSM and 3G WCDMA make up the smartphone’s cellular connectivity. Also, the smartphone has dual SIM support. Connectivity on the smartphone can also be done through the micro USB v2.0, Bluetooth, GPS and WLAN.
