Samsung Exynos 9825 Is The World’s First 7nm EUV Based Mobile Processor

The South Korean tech giant Samsung has added a new member to its chipset family. We got this news just a few hours before the launch of its much-awaited Note 10 series during the unpacked event.

Samsung has officially announced its new processor Samsung Exynos 9825. Exynos 9825 is the successor to Exynos 9820 chipset and the rumors suggest that upcoming Note 10 series may include this chipset.

The most surprising fact about the Exynos 9825  processor is that it is the first mobile processor which is built on 7 nm EUV processing technology. The short form EUV stands for “Extreme Ultraviolet Lithography”. The EUV technique helps to boost mobile performance and lets you do multitasking with ease.

Samsung Exynos 9825 are based on the tri-cluster architecture which consists of two 4th generation Cortex- A75 cores and 4 Cortex- A55 cores. The A75 cores are provided for optimal performance and the A55 cores for greater efficiency.

Exynos 9825 chipset is equipped with Mali-G76 MP12 GPU and features an integrated Neural Processing Unit (NPU) to provide next-generation mobile like performance in AI-powered photography, AI processing, usage pattern recognition, and faster app pre-loading.

Other specs of Exynos 9825 are 5100 LTE modem with CAT.20 8CA 2Gbps downlink and CAT.13 3CA 316 Mbps uplink, supports up to 8K Ultra-HD video encoding and decoding and LPDDR4x RAM. With this newly launched processor, Samsung is looking forward to competing with the latest Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset. However, we need to still wait for the benchmark results so that the real performance of Exynos 9825 comes out.
