In 2018, Samsung introduced the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 smartphone which till date still remains one of the most expensive phones from the company. The phone also falls among the top flagship phone of the year both in performance and other features. The company later introduced the Samsung Galaxy A9 2018 which fall in the same naming category with the beast. Well, many people are still confused or interested to know which one among the two has an upper hand. As for the Samsung Galaxy Note 9, it’s a great phone with a classic and elegant body. The phone has a glass on the mix and it also has an IP68 rating which is both dust and water resistant. The Galaxy A9 2018 is available in Caviar Black, Lemonade Blue, and Bubblegum Pink colors, while the Galaxy Note 9 is available in Midnight Black, Lavender Purple, Metallic Copper, Ocean Blue, and Snow White colors and it’s also has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor as well.

Both phones have the same 18.5:9 aspect ratio with a Super AMOLED Capacitive Touchscreen and display protection. The camera features Dual optical image stabilization and it will shoot better video quality than it’s rival. Although the Galaxy A9 2018 camera looks more promising than the later, still the Galaxy Note 9 will take better photos.

Both phones have the same 6GB RAM with inbuilt storage of 128GB which is expandable via micro SD card. They also run on the same Android 8.1 Oreo operating system and they have support for a 4G LTE network. There’s also a bigger model of the Galaxy Note 9 with a huge RAM and a generous inbuilt memory which will cost higher than the later.

The Samsung Galaxy A9 2018 has a nonremovable battery capacity of 3800 mAh with fast charging technology, while the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 has a bigger battery capacity of 4000 mAh with both fast and wireless charging technology. On the price, the Galaxy A9 2018 will sell at a price of $500, while the Galaxy Note 9 will cost starting from $900

Our Verdict:

On the overall, the Galaxy Note 9 is a beast and it will perform better than the Galaxy A9 smartphone. The phone is also equipped with some internal features that will increase its user experience. It’s the only one that has Bixby assistance. As for the Galaxy A9 2018, it’s more affordable and it will make a good alternative.
