Samsung electronics is set to continue her flurry of phone releases with the outing of the Samsung Galaxy Folder 2, a flip Android phone.
Samsung introduced the first generation Galaxy Folder, sporting a rugged flip designdesign with a casing that resembled a clam shell back in 2013. The South Korean tech giant revamped the series last year by launching a new Galaxy Folder Android flip phone in Korea.
And now, a new Samsung Galaxy Folder 2 (SM – G1600) has appeared on Indian import website Zauba’s import listing earlier this month that showed Samsung is testing the flip phone. Again, the phone has appeared on GFXBench listing revealing most of the specifications the smartphone will feature.
According to the GFXBench listing, the Samsung Galaxy Folder 2 will come with a 3.8-inch WVGA touchscreen display with a 480 x 800 pixel resolution. The device will be powered by a 1.4GHz Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor with Adreno 308 GPU.
The processor is backed up with a 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal memory which isis microSD expandable.
On the camera aspect, the Samsung Galaxy Folder 2 is listed to come with an 8MP rear facing camera with LED flash and a 5MP front facing shooter.
The device will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and offers all the usual connectivity options including 4G LTE.

Samsung Galaxy Folder 2 Price in US, Canada, Korea, Nigeria
The first generation Samsung Galaxy Folder was introduced in Korea in Black and White colors and they carried a price tag of 297,000 Korean Won (US$ 253 / Rs. 17,209 in India). In the same vein, the Samsung Galaxy Folder 2 is also expected to be announced for the Korean markets in the coming weeks and the phone’s price is expected to be cheaper.
