Samsung Galaxy J2 Core VS Samsung Galaxy J4 Core – The Changes So Far

Samsung has added another phone in the Android Go family. The phone is the Samsung Galaxy J4 Core which will be the successor of the Samsung Galaxy J2 Core that was launched some time ago. The new model has been upgraded with a bigger screen, bigger battery and a better hardware as well. We will be comparing the Samsung Galaxy J2 Core with the Samsung Galaxy J2 Core in this post.

Samsung Galaxy J2 Core VS Samsung Galaxy J4 Core- Design Comparison

In terms of design, both phones are built with plastic material. The Samsung Galaxy J4 Core, however, has bigger body dimensions of 6.35 in x 3.03 in x 0.31 in and weighs 278 gram. The bezels on the phone have also been reduced and it’s available in Black, Blue and Gold colors. The Galaxy J2 Core, on the other hand, has body dimensions of 72.09 mm x 143.4 mm x 8.9 mm and it weighs 154 gram. The phone is shipped in Gold color only.
Both phones apparently lack a fingerprint scanner and they have a single rear camera as well.

The Samsung Galaxy J2 Core has a standard screen size of 5.0 inches HD with a resolution of 540 x 960 Pixels and 220 PPI density, while the Samsung Galaxy J4 Core has a bigger screen size of 6.0 inches HD+ with a resolution of 1480 x 720 Pixels and 274 PPI density.
Both phones are equipped with TFT capacitive touchscreen and a display protection. The Samsung Galaxy J4 Core has a higher screen to body ratio and it will deliver clear visuals than it’s rival.

In the camera department, both phones have the same camera configuration. They have a single rear camera of 8 Megapixels f/2.2 with a single LED flash and 1080p@30fps video resolution, while on the front, they have the same front facing camera of 5 Megapixels with f/2.2 Aperture. So, there is no winner on the camera aspect.

The Samsung Galaxy J2 Core has a Samsung Exynos 7570 Quad chipset with Quad-Core 1.4GHz processor, while the Samsung Galaxy J4 Core has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 MSM8917 chipset with Quad-Core 1.4 GHz processor. Both phones run on Android 8.1 Oreo Go Edition and they also support 4G LTE network. On the memory, the Galaxy J2 Core has 1GB RAM with internal memory of 8GB which is expandable, while the Samsung Galaxy J4 Core has 1GB RAM with inbuilt storage of 16GB which is also expandable as well.

The Samsung Galaxy J2 Core has a nonremovable battery capacity of 2600 mAh, while the Samsung Galaxy J4 Core has a nonremovable battery capacity of 3300 mAh. Both phones lack fast charging technology. On the price, the Galaxy J2 Core is selling at a price of $100, while the Samsung Galaxy J4 Core will cost around $122.

Our Verdict:

Just as you can see, the Samsung Galaxy J4 Core has been upgraded with better hardware that will deliver day to day phone activities smoothly. The phone now has a large screen size as well with a bigger battery capacity that will give movies lover’s the experience they want. So the Galaxy J4 Core wins and it will make a better phone as well.
