Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime begins to receive update for Android Oreo

It is not every day that we have the opportunity to bring such good news to users of Android smartphones. However, today we can claim users of the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime, a mid-low-end terminal that now receives Android Oreo.

First of all, although it’s no longer the latest version of Google’s mobile operating system, it’s still very welcome. Android Oreo 8.0 will thus arrive at this mobile device with the brand’s own interface, the Samsung Experience.

The good news was first advanced by the publication Gsmarena. Then we get to see firsthand several screenshots with several details about the new firmware (system software).

Consequently, this confirms the arrival of Android Oreo to the already old but still functional Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime. In this sense, below we can find the various screenshots with important details about the software update.

Secondly, it should be stressed that the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime had already been cited as elected for the update. This would happen through the Samsung Members application, where its users were notified of the plans of the brand. Now we can confirm the arrival of the software update with the long-awaited Android Oreo. In short, it is not the latest version but it will certainly be the last major system upgrade to arrive at the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime.

In short, this mobile device launched in 2016 finally began receiving Android Oreo via OTA ( over the air ). From now on it will be a matter of time until all the mobile devices elected to receive the news.

If you have a Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime you can check its availability in the Settings – Software Updates – Check for updates. Alternatively, it will be, as mentioned above, a matter of time until the firmware update arrives.

Thirdly, to install the update with Android Oreo you should have at least 2GB of available storage. Note that the new firmware weighs a total of 1040MB in size.
