Samsung Galaxy S9 – Android Pie will be causing battery problems

It was with some surprise that we learned of the availability of the Android Pie for the Samsung Galaxy S9 last week. Although the South Korean had promised this update only for January, the truth is that some countries in Europe have already begun to receive the much-desired update.

First, the South Korean company carried out a test phase for this new firmware. This type of beta program is not new to Samsung users. Therefore, it is this way that the company manages to avoid some problems inherent to new versions of its software.

However, not everything seems to have been finalized in this first phase. Soon after the release of Android Pie, reports of problems affecting Bixby have emerged. According to what has been talked, commands that previously could be performed stopped working with this new version.

Android Pie will cause battery drain on the Samsung Galaxy S9

But the problems do not seem to have stayed here. According to the publication SamMobile, the Samsung Galaxy S9 are losing too much battery after upgrading to Android Pie.

Although in the testing phase there has been an increase in battery life, we now have the scenario totally inverse. One of the editors of this publication reports that his Samsung Galaxy S9 has gone down from 10% to 5% battery in a matter of seconds.

It reports that there were no applications running in the background that justified this behavior. In addition, even if it happened, it is not common to lose so much load level in so little time space.

Readers of the same publication are also reporting similar situations. Thus, it is believed that this was not an isolated case, although it is difficult to measure the true extent of the problem.

Therefore, this may well have been a small bug that escaped the scrutiny of Samsung. It is important to mention that Android Pie has not yet begun to reach the Galaxy S9 present in other world markets.

In this way, the South Korean is expected to be able to solve the problem before continuing with the availability of Android Pie. By now, we would like to know if you are experiencing the same problem on your Samsung Galaxy S9.
