Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus – Review
The Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus is the first smartphone from the S series to come with dual rear camera. It was long overdue, the company had to include the feature in the Galaxy S9 Plus. The smartphone is the bigger version of the Galaxy S9, coming with bigger RAM space, internal storage space and battery. Galaxy S9 Plus will be available for sale after the Mobile World Congress for $999, same price tag with Apple’s iPhone X. But is it worth the price and hype? Lets find out.

Design
Finally, a Galaxy S smartphone i’m totally in love with, the dual rear shooter on this baby is a killer. You have to admit, the dual rear camera sure adds to the beauty of the device. Has an aluminum frame with a glass body giving the device a sleek and classy look. Love the positioning of the dual cameras at the back, in a horizontal position with the fingerprint scanner underneath.
This time around, the fingerprint scanner is in a much better and flattering position than its predecessor. The dual-LED flash sites beside both cameras to the right, while the device is available in Black, Gold and Blue and Purple colors. Even with the bigger screen and massive battery, it still measures 8.5 mm slim which is impressive. Samsung Galaxy S9 is IP68 certified, offering dust and water resistance for 30 minutes straight.
Display
The screen to body ratio might not be as high as the Galaxy S9, but its still over the top. The Galaxy S9 Plus boasts of 83.8% screen-to-body ratio, dishing out more screen than bezels. The 6.2-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen is brilliant with 531pixel per inch density.

The breathtaking screen boasts of 1440 x 2960 pixels in resolution. Watching movies and playing games on the Galaxy S9 Plus should be a dream come true. The Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protecting thr device offers scratch and dust resistant as well.
Hardware and Software
Under the hood is the Snapdragon 845 chip from Qualcomm with Octa-core processor. The octa-processor reaches a speed of 2.6 GHz for fast and smooth performance. It has a 10nm process technology, 64-bit CPU architecture and Qualcomm Adreno graphics processor.
There’s a larger RAM space of 6GB with a memory speed of 1866MHz for all your multitasking needs. While a massive 128GB internal storage space is available to accommodate all your files. There should be a much affordable variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage space as well. Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus runs smoothly on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box with modified user interface.
Camera
Galaxy S9 Plus is a keeper, it houses dual 12MP + 12MP rear camera at the back, offering dual the fun. However, one of the camera has f/1.6 aperture while the other has f/2.4 aperture. But nevertheless, they will work together to capture crystal clear 4K resolution images (4416 x 2761 Pixels).
Both camera boasts of a 1.4 µm, Dual Pixel PDAF, a dual-LED flash by the side and other quality features. The video resolution with both cameras is better than the S9, recording 2160p @ 60 frames per second. At the front, the single selfie camera is an 8MP shooter with f/1.6 aperture. Recording videos of 1440p, supports dual video call, Auto HDR with no front LED flash.
Battery
Powering the Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus up is a 3500mAh Non-removable Li-Ion battery, with fast battery charging and Qi wireless charging feature.
