Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Will Run on Wear OS, One UI

New reports offer that the new incoming Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 will be a heavily revamped watch. That means that for some reason, it will look like the predecessor in some features, but receive a considerable boost in other features. One big news is that this watch will run on a new operating system.

This year, there are reports that an overhaul of the Galaxy Watch series will be carried out in 2024. Now, an exclusive report claims that Samsung is ditching the Tizen OS for the newer Android Wear OS. This will run on its Galaxy Watch 4 models coming up probably this year.

The company hopes to combine the Wear OS with the One UI to produce a mix of the classic look of the Samsung wearable and additional functionalities. These upcoming Samsung watches will remind users of the Apple Watches that allow users to send short audio messages to their contacts, which in itself looks like the use of a walkie-talkie.

Samsung has three smartwatches in line for release this year. They even have codenames- Wise, Fresh, and Lucky. One of them will take on the appearance of a conventional watch, while the two others models will highlight Samsung’s innovative and attractive designs with a sporty appearance.

At this moment, there no information regarding the actual price these smartwatches will come with. Samsung may reveal that later, at a July event, which is meant for the release of its foldable smartphone. The company could announce Galaxy Watch 4 during that event.

Samsung launched the Galaxy Watch 3 in August 2020.
