With the general idea of a “Lite” version still being the smaller version of something, Sharp have released a smaller version of her Sharp Aquos Sense smartphone. Let’s have a preview of what was toned down and what we’re retained.
DESIGN AND DISPLAY
As regards appearance, body structure, form and design, the Sharp Aquos Sense Lite is the exact twin of its predecessor, the Sharp Aquos Sense. They have the same dimensions, the keys and other hardware components are placed at exactly the same location. To spice up the design, the manufacturers produced the device in three colour variants – Black, Gold and White.
For visuals output, a 5.0 inch capacitive touchscreen (which also is the means of controlling the device; input) is put in place. The screen is a Full HD display with a 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution – top quality!
PROCESSOR, OS AND STORAGE
With the 3 GB RAM capacity of the Sharp Aquos Sense Lite, in conjunction with the multitasking-suited Android v7.1 Nougat operating system, the device is one you should consider buying of you are on the lookout for a device that wouldn’t lag during (heavy) usage.
The System-on-Chip is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC with 8 Cortex-A53 cores (Octa core) that run at a speed of 1.4 GHz. To some extent, the built-in 32 GB storage should be enough to keep your files and multimedia. If it isn’t, there is a dedicated Micro SD card slot for expansion to the tune of 256 GB.
CAMERA AND BATTERY
With 13 Megapixels and a LED flash on the rear and 5 Megapixels on the front (without LED flash), the Sharp Aquos Sense Lite does pretty decent in the optics department too.
However, the battery seem quite small for the current day intense manner of smartphone usage. A 2,700 mAh Lithium Ion battery may not totally do the magic for me, don’t know if it will for you. One more Sade battery fact, the battery cannot be removed nor replaced but interestingly, the device comes with the Quick charge feature for faster battery charge.
