Tecno Camon i Click was launched in India yesterday and will be available immediately on shopping stores. The device is also known as Tecno Camon X and X Pro in Nigeria when it was launched in Lagos. The Camon i Click brings forth the 20MP crystal clear selfie camera on the Camon X.
Internally, the device brought on the same storage on the Camon X Pro, there’s 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The i Click is a combination of the X and X Pro from the Camon series. The Helio P23 chip is still on board, with 4G LTE and Android 8.1 Oreo. Lets find out more.
Design
As expected, it comes with the Plastic body and a Metal frame. Looks absolutely stunning just like the Camon X smartphones. There’s a fingerprint scanner and Tecno logo in the usual position. The rear camera and LED flash are on a horizontally placed foundation.
It also comes with the dual antenna lines and gold finishing that gives off a sleek vibe. The volume keys and power button are by the right, while the SIM tray is by the left. It measures 7.8mm in thickness and weighs just 158g overall, you can get it in Black and Champagne colors only.
Display
The i Click dishes out an 18:9 aspect ratio screen for the Full View experience. The tall screen is perfect for big screen lovers and with extremely narrow bezels, you’ll enjoy taller visuals as well in landscape mode. The bottom bezel is vacant, while the top houses the selfie camera, speaker grille and front LED flash.
The 6-inch HD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen displays like the Camon X with a resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels and 268 pixel per inch density for clear visuals. The screen stretches up to 77.52% screen-to-body ratio with a 2.5D Curved Glass on top.
Hardware and Software
Running the race here is the Helio P23 MT6763V from MediaTek with Octa-Core processor and 64-bit CPU architecture. The 8-Cores of processor here runs at a fast speed of 2.0GHz with 16nm process technology. The ARM Mali-G71 MP2 graphics processor comes with 2-Cores and clocks at 700MHz.
There’s 4GB RAM space for multitasking, this is where the Camon i Click will give you the X Pro experience. There’s also 64GB storage space available as well, the RAM has a memory speed of 1.6GHz, while the storage space is upgradeable up to 128GB storage. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with HiOS 3.3 skin on top.
Camera
The 16MP rear camera has f/1.8 aperture and captures photographs of 4608 x 3456 pixels in dimension. There’s a Quad ring flash beside the camera as a source for light in darkness and other internal features as well. While the 20MP selfie camera comes with f/2.0 aperture, a few AI gimmicks, a dual-LED flash and supports Face ID.
Battery
Powering the Tecno Camon i Click is a 3750mAh non-removable Li-Po battery with fast charging technology. With the fast charging feature, charging the battery from 0% to 100% shouldn’t take up to 2.4 hours.
