Just like the Camon series, the W series, Phantom series and L series; this new one is called the “F series”. And the Chinese company have released four new smartphones under this series. They are called Tecno F1, Tecno F2, Tecno POP 1 (also known as Tecno F3) and Tecno POP 1 Pro (also known as Tecno F3 Pro.

These phones doesn’t offer much specs like the Camon X and the rest. But considering they’re low-budget smartphones, i say they are quite awesome. They feature a full display screen with 18:9 aspect ratio. And the Tecno F1 running on Google’s latest operating system for low-budget smartphone. The Android 8.0 Oreo (Go edition) features the Google’s popular apps in light version. For the purpose of this article, we would be comparing the specifications and features of the Tecno F1 and Tecno F2.

Tecno F1 VS Tecno F2 – The Design

The Tecno F1 and Tecno F2 have no single difference in term of design. They both feature a removable back metal plastic. The dimensions is the same on both smartphones with a 9.7mm in thickness. The Champagne Gold, Ice Blue, Dark Blue and Elegant Black body colors is available on both Tecno F1 and F2. The rear camera and LED flash is at the top-left corner on both phones. Tecno F1 VS Tecno F2 – The Display

Just like the design department. There is also no difference between these device on the display category. The smartphones looks similar with most Tecno phones. Coming with the usual side bezel-less and bezels at the top and bottom of the screen. Since they’re low-budget phones, one can’t really complain of their 5.0 inch screen size. The screen is a FWVGA IPS capacitive touchscreen. And their display resolution is 854 x 480 pixels. The ppi density and screen-to-body ratio is unknown at this moment.

Tecno F1 VS Tecno F2 – The Camera

Also another department where the Tecno F1 and F2 have the same specifications. They both sport a rear camera resolution of 5 mega-pixels with a dual-LED flash. While for selfies and snaps, one would have to make do of a front camera resolution of 2 mega-pixels with a LED flash. With the front and back camera having LED flash. You can be assured to still snap some good pictures in low-light backgrounds.

The major department with significant difference between the Tecno F1 and F2. The Tecno F1 features a 512MB RAM size. While the Tecno F2 features a 1GB RAM size. Understandably, the RAM size of Tecno F1 is small for modern day technology. Which is why the phone is incorporated with Android 8.0 Oreo (Go edition). This means that low-budget smartphones like the Tecno F1 will run on Google’s optimized apps. Applications such as YouTube Go, Google Go, Gmail Go and other popular Google apps. So one would not have to worry about these apps running heavy on their RAM. The Tecno F2 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat on its 1GB RAM.

The internal storage is 8GB on both phones. And is expandable to 32GB using a microSD. Powering these phones is the MediaTek MT6580 chipset. And a Quad-core processor reaching a speed of 1.3GHz.

The Tecno F1 and F2 features a removable Li-lon 2,000 mAh battery. Which should still last up to 5 hours of normal usage.

The Tecno F1 will be sold for around $57 (N20,000). While the Tecno F2 will be available for about $71 (N25,000). Only difference is Tecno F1 features 512MB RAM and runs on Android 8.0 (Go edition). While Tecno F2 features 1GB RAM and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat. Since the Tecno F1 comes with Android 8.0 Oreo (Go edition). It shouldn’t have much difficulties multitasking like the Tecno F2.
