It is almost a month now since the final version of Android 9.0 Pie was launched. Devices such as Pixel and Essential have already received this update on the day the final version was announced.
Now in September, the latest security patch updates are released and ready to be downloaded. Google publishes this update for the Google Pixel 2016 series, the Google Pixel 2, Pixel C, Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X series. This security patch update focuses on security improvements and also fixes some media-related bugs.
If you want to download and update manually, you can download an image file on Google’s development site. Another option is to wait for this update in OTA.
