Vodafone is known for great design. The company puts emphasis on what gives users the best in terms of comfort and peace of mind. In the Vodafone Smart E9, you see all of this and more. The device is hot and shouting as it is released in the month of November 2018.

Design and Display of Vodafone Smart E9

Body design type in the device is mainly plastic. Further, dimensions are 137.6 x 65.7 x 9.8 mm and it weighs 134 grams. It comes in black and red colors. It is not water resistant at all, and there is no fingerprint sensor here.

Display type is LCD capacitive touch screen of 16 million colors. The screen size is 5 inches and there is no secondary display. Pixels resolution is 960 x 480, pixel density is 215 ppi, aspect ratio is 18:9, and screen to body ratio cannot be ascertained at the present moment. However, protective feature in the device is 2.5D curved glass.

Camera Features

At the camera department there is a 5 MP rear shooter that comes with dual-LED flash features. Also, it comes with f/2.0 aperture. The front camera which is the selfie camera is only 2 MP which has no flash option at all. Why Vodafone cut back on the cameras is not clear.

The rear camera comes with Full HD recording (FHD), LED flash, and f/2.0 aperture. Other features of the rear camera are auto focus, geo-tagging, Face Beauty, continuous shooting, PDAF, touch focus, HDR, Time Lapse, panorama, digital zoom, and more.

Hardware and Software

MediaTek MT6739 chipset is the primary hardware on Vodafone Smart E9 with process technology 28nm. CPU is Octa-core 1.3 GHz Cortex A53. Meanwhile, the GPU is PowerVR GE8100, 570MHz.

However, the software is Android OS v8.1 Oreo Go Edition. This software will be able to receive update for Android 9 Pie update.

Storage Capacity and Sensors in Vodafone Smart E9

For internal memory there is 1GB of RAM which cannot be expanded, however, the internal storage is 8GB. This can be boosted up to 32GB with a microSD card. Sensors include accelerometer, proximity, and ambient light.

Network and Connectivity

Simply put, the Vodafone Smart E9 has 2G, 3G, and 4G internet networks. So, we can say that it will conveniently handle GSM, HSDPA, WCDMA, and LTE networks. There are also two compartment slots in the device to handle Nano SIM cards.

Other salient connectivity options are GPS, Dual Band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1. For connectors, there are headphone jack, NFC, a microUSB OTG port, and other highlights. However, there is no infrared or HDMI in the device.

Battery Life

Powering the device is a 2000 mAh Li-Ion removable battery with fast charging option but there is also no wireless option for the Vodafone Smart E9. There is also no fast charging technology, which means that users cannot have a full charge within two hours from zero percent.

Price and Availability

Pricing of the device has put at $69 USD. Having being released in November, buyers may have to wait a bit before they can ship the device from online stores.
