The Black Shark 2 is a gaming phone from Xiaomi which will now make it the third gaming phone from the company. The handset was officially announced alongside the Redmi 7, Redmi 7 Pro, wireless earbuds and also a washing machine. Design And Display
In terms of body design, the phone is looking more elegant and premium. It offers something different from the Black Shark Helo that was launched last year. It comes with a smaller bezel than it’s predecessor although not super thin. On the back, you will be greeted with a vertically arranged dual camera. S logo which is dedicated to Black Shark is sitting at the center with an LED underneath it.
There is also a LEDs on both sides of the panel with a key on top of the power button.
The Black Shark 2 has a screen display size of 6.39-inch AMOLED panel with a 2340 x 1080 resolution and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It promises a Trueview Display which restores true color to the screen. The phone also has a dedicated image processing chip which automatically adjusts the display parameters for the best color output. Other features on the display include Full DC dimming, MEMC intelligent motion, Super HDR, and an eye protection mode.

On the camera department, the Black Shark 2 is blessed with a combo rear cameras set-up. The camera comprises 48MP f/1.75 0.8μm primary camera paired with a 12MP f/2.2 telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom. It also has the ability to record 4K videos at 30fps, record slow-motion videos in 720p at 240fps and in 1080p at 120fps. Selfies fanatics will get an impressive front-facing camera of 20MP 0.9μm f/2.0 sensor covered with a 5P lens.

The Black Shark 2 is powered by a Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 processor and it’s available in four variants. The first has 6GB RAM + 128GB, while the others are available with 8GB RAM + 128GB, 8GB RAM + 256GB, and 12GB RAM + 256GB. Fueling the phone is a nonremovable battery capacity of 4000mAh with support for 27W fast charging. The phone has an onscreen fingerprint sensor with Bluetooth 5.0 and a USB type-C port. The stereo speakers will produce great sounds and it also has triple-microphones for stereo recording and uses AI to reduce background noise.
Other Features
The Black Shark 2 has a feature called Magic Press which allows you to customize the touch controls on the screen. You can also use the Magic Press to customize the pressure sensitivity of the two sides of the screen. In order to prevent overheating when gaming, the phone comes up with a Liquid Cooling 3.0 which is better for heat dissipation. There’s also a cooling fan on the inside as well which helps to reduce the temperature to an extra 5 degrees.
