Xiaomi Black Shark VS Razor Phone – Which is the Best Gaming Smartphone?. The Gaming industry is experiencing tremendous growth especially in the last couple of years. Gone are the days where one could only play games on consoles such as Play Station and Xbox. Smartphone users have developed a habit of playing games on their device. Well, most of these smartphones were not built for playing games. Which is why phone manufacturing companies have started producing smartphones mainly built for playing games. Not babyish games like “Temple Run,” am talking about hardcore games like “Modern Combat,” “Mortal Kombat, “Tekken” e.t.c.

For this article, we would be looking at two of the best smartphones for gaming right now. The Xiaomi Black Shark and Razor Phone have all the key features required for strong gaming. The features include a strong chipset, a large memory size and also a big battery capacity. But that’s not all the features these two smartphones possess. Stay with me let’s find out more!

Razor Phone

Xiaomi Black Shark comes with the best gaming design in my opinion. I mean the Razor Phone looks more like every other smartphone out there. You pretty much have to check its features to know it’s a gaming smartphone. While the back of the Xiaomi Black Shark has that “controller” kind of vibe. Holding the smartphone with both hands will seem like you holding a PlayStation controller.

The Xiaomi Black Shark is taller and thicker while the Razor Phone is wider. The Xiaomi Black Shark sizes up to 161.6 x 75.4 x 9.3 mm and weighs 190 grams. While the Razor Phone measures 158.5 x 77.7 x 8 mm and weighs 197 grams. The color variants is that much of both smartphones which are weird to me. The Razor Phone is only available in Black body color. While the Xiaomi Black Shark is available in Black and Gray body colors.

The Xiaomi Black Shark features a home button which houses the fingerprint sensor. While the fingerprint sensor of the Razor Phone is on the side. The sensor is going to be small since the phone is 8mm in thickness. They both have a dual rear camera lens with LED flash at the top-left corner.

Xiaomi Black Shark VS Razor Phone – The Display

Display quality should be a strong criterion for any gaming smartphone. Nobody wants to play a game with dull visuals. This is where the Razor Phone beats the Xiaomi Black Shark. The Razor Phone sports a 5.7 IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen. Which has a display resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and 515 ppi density. The smartphone is not bezel-less with large bezels at the top and bottom. Razor could have done better in that aspect. The Razor Phone screen is protected

The Xiaomi Black Shark packs a dual rear camera. With a display resolution of a 12MP f/1.8 aperture in the primary lens and 20MP f/1.8 aperture in the secondary lens. While the Razor Phone also houses a dual rear camera. With a 12MP f/1.8 aperture resolution in the primary lens and a 12MP f/2.6 aperture resolution in the secondary lens.

The Xiaomi Black Shark features better hardware. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset with Octa-core processor clocking at a speed of 2.8GHz. The Razor Phone was released late last year. Which could be why it doesn’t feature Qualcomm latest chipset. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset powers the Razor Phone. Alongside Octa-core processor which clocks at 2.35 GHz. The Xiaomi Black Shark runs on the Android operating system, Android 8.0 Oreo. While the Razor Phone runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat but upgradable to Android 8.1 Oreo.

The Razor Phone comes with a standard 8GB memory and 64GB internal storage. While the Xiaomi Black Shark comes in two variants. The 6GB memory with 64GB internal storage. And the 8GB memory with 128GB internal storage. The internal storage of the Razor Phone can be expanded up to 400GB using a microSD. While the Xiaomi Black Shark has no microSD slot.
