Reportedly, Apple will integrate a new chip which may be built on 5-nanometre technology inside the iPhones launching next year. A recent report suggests that Apple’s 2020 iPhone lineups will come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X55 5G modem to enable 5G support. The 5nm based chip will most likely be called the A14 Bionic and it will be the first chip from Apple to be built on the 5nm process.

The report also suggests that the 2020 iPhone models will have a 12Hz refresh rate display. The new report from Nikkie clearly says that Apple will integrate a new chip inside its 2020 iPhones and the chip will be based on 5nm technology. The new processors will give more processing power and consume less energy, Nikkie also stated that the iPhones launching next year will support 5G and will be equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X55 5G modem. However, the processor will be in-house built.

In past, we have come across many reports suggesting that the 2020 iPhones will come with 5G support. Ming-Chi Kuo and Dan Ives at Wedbush were the analysts who predicted that 2020 iPhone models will support 5G.

According to Kuo, 2020 iPhone models will have a major design change. The upcoming iPhones will come with a metal frame design and glass will be still used on the front and at the back. The metal frame surface will be quite similar to the design on the iPhone 4.

Dan Ives suggests that Apple will launch four new iPhone models in 2024 that will have a rear 3D sensing imaging system and a motion control feature as well.
