Design
The device is a beauty no doubt, made from Metal and covered exquisitely in glass. Sporting curved and sleek edges that’s very beautiful altogether. The vertical dual rear shooters at the top left corner has been quite a trend though.
The P20 comes with the fast trending feature with a dual-LED flash sitting underneath. The Huawei logo is also in that position at the bottom corner. Turning to the sides, it measures 7.7mm in thickness and weighs 165g overall, making it very easy to hold and operate. The device is available in Black, Blue, Pink, Rose-gold and Turquoise colors.
Display
Bezel-less and stunning, the Huawei P20 ships with the current trend. Sporting a notch at the top that houses the usual features like selfie camera, speaker grille and sensors. There’s also a physical home button at the bottom bezel that doubles as a fingerprint scanner. The 5.8-inch FHD+ LTPS IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen is simply breathtaking.
Boasts of a resolution of 2240 x 1080 pixels and 429 pixel per inch density, enjoy clear graphics while playing games or watching movies. The screen dishes out a unique 18.5:9 aspect ratio, full view display, stretches up to 80% screen to body ratio. While a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protects it all.
Hardware and Software
The smartphone houses the powerful Huawei HiSilicon KIRIN 970 chip with Octa-core processor and 64-bit CPU architecture. The 8-cores of processor reaches a speed of just 2.4GHz with an impressive 10nm process technology. In the graphics department, the ARM Mali G72 MP12 graphics processor comes with 12-cores and clocks at 767MHz.
For multitasking, 4GB of RAM space is available with a memory speed of 1.833GHz. Store up files and apps in the massive 128GB storage space available and upgradeable up to 256GB using a memory card. The P20 smartphone runs smoothly on Android 8.1 Oreo with EMUI 8.0 skin.
Camera
At the rear, the dual Leica 3.0 shooters are 12MP + 20MP sharp cameras with f/1.8 and f/1.6 aperture respectively. The cameras akso boasts of 1/2.3″ and 1/2.78″ sensor size as well. Coming with a dual-LED flash and other features like Laser Autofocus, Contrast Autofocus, Depth Autofocus, Summilux-H lens, 6P Lens and others. The 24MP selfie camera has f/2.0 aperture with face recognition technology.
Battery
Powering the Huawei P20 is a 3400mAh non-removable Li-Po battery with fast charging and wireless charging technology. With the fast charging feature, it shouldn’t take more than 1.6 hours to fully charge up the battery from 0% to 100%.
