Alcatel 5V is finally official – 6.2 “display and MediaTek Helio P22 processor

Alcatel 5V was finally announced by the French company. After the arrival of Alcatel 1, the first phone of the brand to get Android Go, here is a new product made by the company, which is also quite cheap.

The smartphone is characterized by a metal body and two cameras positioned on the back. Alcatel 5V comes in black and blue, and will almost certainly feature the Face Unlock feature.

Alcatel 5V has the Android 8.1 Oreo operating system and showcases a single Micro-SIM slot. The smartphone sports a 6.2-inch display (720 × 1500 pixels) with a 19 – 9 aspect ratio and 88% screen-to-body. The phone is protected by an Asahi Dragontrail 2.5D glass and has a capacitive screen with five-point multitouch. The device is also powered by the MediaTek Helio P22 octa-core processor (4 x Cortex-A53 at 2.0GHz, 4 x Cortex-A53 at 1.5GHz) combined with 3GB of RAM. The internal memory is 32 GB with the ability to expand further through a microSD card slot (up to 128 GB).

As for the photo sector, we are facing a device with a 12-megapixel main camera with f / 2.2 aperture and an additional 2-megapixel camera with f / 2.4 aperture. On the front side, it features an 8-megapixel camera with f / 2.8 aperture and “fixed-focus”.

Alcatel 5V, which has a total weight of 158 grams, is also equipped with a remarkable 4000 mAh battery – according to what is guaranteed by the French company, this battery will allow the user something like 18 hours of talk time (3G) and 620 hours in standby (3G), while the phone will take 2 hours and 48 minutes to fully charge. Connectivity options include 802.11 b / g / n Wi-Fi, direct Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 2.0, GPS, A-GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, NFC, FM radio and other. Onboard sensors include an accelerometer, electronic compass, fingerprint sensor, gyro sensor, light sensor and proximity sensor.

Alcatel 5V has a launch price of $ 199 (about 170 euros) and will be made available starting this month.
