At the 2017 edition of the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2017) that ran from Monday, 27 February 2017 through Thursday, 2 March 2017, Alcatel showcased three (3) devices (consisting of both smartphones and tablets). One of the three devices, the Alcatel A3 10″, showcased at the conference has finally been launched in India and we would be looking at the quality and what other specifications it carries.
The Alcatel A3 10″ is a large-sized tablet with an equally large 10-inch HD display screen. The tablet’s display resolution is complementary 1280 x 800 pixels for nice visual experience on the device. With the kind of display, more than average colour and image reproduction is guaranteed.
The tablet which could do well as an entertainment hub (owing to its wide display), can also be used as a work tablet by men and women in business.
With a Quad core 1.1 GHz Cortex A53 processor embedded on the MediaTek MT8735B chipset, and a 2GB RAM in the accompany, the Alcatel A3 10 can be trusted to perform beyond what potential buyers would expect.
There is an on-board storage space of 16GB, of which only about 12GB is available for usage by users upon unboxing. Yes, this might seem small like small storage space for such a big tablet but good news is – you can increase the storage via an external SD card to up to 128GB. The Alcatel A3 10 also supports OTG which is another form of external storage and for transferring files.
Alcatel A3 10The Alcatel is a combination of beautifuldesign and a beasty processor and software. Running on the latest Android Nougat v7.0, you’ll get the best usage experience as well as efficient battery and storage optimization. There’s enough battery initially, at 4,600mAh, but be sure to get even more out of the battery (up to 8 hours of usage time).
The cameras on this tablet however are not really much to write home about. The rear camera is of a 5-megapixels sensor while that at the front is a meagre 2-megapixels snapper for selfies and video calls.
Going by the company’s Regional Manager in India, the Alcatel A3 10 is a tablet designed to provide users with a complete immersive experience.
The Alcatel A3 A10 is only available in India at the moment and goes for sale at a price range of N49,000 – 53,000; going by the current exchange rate.
