The Alcatel A7 XL sports dual rear cameras & packs a 4000mAh battery

The Alcatel A7 XL was one of the smartphones on display when Alcatel hit the IFA 2017 in Berlin. The 6-inch device is certainly an upgrade from where the Alcatel A7 took its foot off the gas, although there is little to separate them.

The device is surely the bigger of the two ‘A Series’ siblings costing approximately US$60 more than the A7, at US$332. Here is a full description of the Alcatel A7 XL.

Display & Design

The Alcatel A7 XL sports a large 6.0-inch Full HD 2.5D Curved Glass display with a display resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels resolution. The device is protected against damages from high falls by the Dragontrail Glass. The smartphone comes in an all metal finish and measures 159.6 by 81.5 by 8.65mm in dimensions, weighing 175g.

Camera

The smartphone features a vertical rear dual camera setup of a 12MP camera with dual-tone LED flash plus a 2MP secondary snapper. The front comprises also of a 5MP camera with LED Flash for quality selfies even in low-light conditions.

Storage & Processor

Alcatel’s A7 XL will carry an Octa-Core MediaTek MT6750S processor which is clocked at 1.5GHz. It comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage with microSD support for expanding storage.

Software & Hardware

The device runs on Android 7.1 Nougat Operating system out of the box. Like the rest of the Alcatel smartphones launched at the IFA 2017, it will sport a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and two speaker grills are visible just on either side of its micro-USB port.

The A7 XL smartphone also houses a non-removable 4000mAh battery with fast charging support. Connectivity options include; 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n(2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and NFC.
