Alcatel has added a new smartphone named the Alcatel Flash 2017 to its catalogue of smartphones. The Flash comes with a distinctive feature which is the presence of four cameras on it, two at the rear and two at the front.
We’ve been having smartphones with dual cameras around for a while now, but this new system of cameras on a smartphone is mind-blowing. The Alcatel Flash is made with both enthusiastic photographers and selfie lovers in mind.
Alcatel Flash 2017 Specifications, Review and Highlights
Display & Design
The Alcatel Flash (2017) comes with a 5.5-inch IPS full lamination display which has a Full HD (1920 * 1080) pixel resolution and Dragontrail Glass protection. With this display setup, you get optimum display quality, and at the same time, protection against scratches and falls.
The smartphone has a unibody metal design and a curved metal which makes it fit snugly into your palms. The back panel is also brushed, thereby giving you a good grip over the smartphone and making it less prone to falls.
Storage & Processor
Unparalleled speed is guaranteed with a deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 processor and a Mali T880 MP4 GPU which efficiently handles graphics operations on the smartphone and prevents lags.
The processor has 3GB of RAM capacity to carry out its operations fluidly, and you have 32GB of ROM capacity to store all your multimedia files at no extra cost. And peradventure that space isn’t enough for your files, it will only take a little amount for you to get an external microSD card and expand the internal memory up to 128GB using the phone’s microSD card slot.
Camera
The Alcatel Flash 2017 sports a dual camera setup at the rear, the first being a 13MP Monochrome camera and the second a 13MP RGB camera. Both use a Sony IMX258 sensor, have a f/2.0 aperture and are accompanied by a dual-tone LED flash for visibility in low-light conditions.
This dual camera setup allows you to capture images with background blur like professional photographers do. The rear cameras have PDAF which allows them to focus on objects in just 0.15 seconds. They also support RAW image capturing.
There’s also a dual camera setup at the front, consisting of 8MP and 5MP cameras. These come with Super Selfie Mode which allows you to take blurred selfies in different grades. The front cameras are also aided in dark situations by a dual-tone LED flash.
Battery & Connectivity
The Alcatel Flash packs a 3100mAh battery which comes with fast charging technology, thereby delivering the satisfaction of discharging slowly and charging fast.
The smartphone is compatible with 4G LTE networks and supports Voice-over-LTE function. A USB Type-C port aids its fast charging and gives it USB OTG functionality.
The phone comes with a hybrid dual Nano SIM slot which lets you choose between using two Nano SIM slots and using one and the second for internal storage expansion via microSD.
Software & Hardware
The Alcatel Flash features a fingerprint sensor below its rear camera module which allows you to secure the phone and carry out extra functions.
The Alcatel Flash (2017) runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow straight out of the box.

Availability and Price of Alcatel Flash in Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, Kenya & Ghana
The Alcatel Flash flagship smartphone comes in Black colour and would be available at a date that would be announced later by the company. The smartphone was announced in Saudi Arabia, so we expect that it will be launched there first. The price details of the smartphone are not available yet.
With lot of phones sporting dual real camera and few sporting dual front camera, I think this is the best what smartphone camera lover could ask for. Awesome 🙂
