Allview P9 Life is now available for sale on Shopping stores, the device was announced on Valentine’s day on Allview Mobile website. It focuses on those on a budget, coming with a standard 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage. The back and selfie camera are sharp as well, making the P9 Life a ‘Hot Cake’. But how hot is the P9 Life? Design
The body was made from plastic, but you’ll hardly notice from a distance. To be honest, i always look forward to the Allview logo at the back of their devices. It adds something magical to the design, and here it is seen underneath the rear fingerprint scanner.
The rear camera is still where it is, at the top middle starting the vertical train. While the LED flash is underneath, all in a vertical format at the back. It’s bulky to the sides, measuring 9.2 mm in thickness but surprisingly it weighs much less at 136g. It’s only available in Gold and Black colors.
Display
Another affordable smartphone with lots of bezels, the bottom bezel is fully present but with no occupation, literally. There are no navigation buttons at the bottom bezel, so I have no idea why it’s still there. The bezel at the top houses the selfie camera, speaker grille and ambient light sensor.
Focusing on the screen, the 5.2-inch HD IPS LCD Capacitive touchscreen boasts of a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels in resolution. For much clearer and in-depth visuals it has 282 pixel per inch density. Protecting the screen is a Soda Lime Glass which offers scratch resistant, the multi-touch screen could only get to 70% screen to body ratio.
Hardware and Software
Making the calls is the MediaTek MT6737 chipset with Quad-core processor. The processor reaches a clock speed of 1.3 GHz, while the CPU architecture is a 64-bit processor. It has a 28nm process technology and a Mali-T720 MP1 graphics processing unit. The graphics processor comes with a single core and reaches a maximum speed of 600MHz.
Multitasking light apps shouldn’t be a problem, the device comes with 2GB RAM with a memory speed of 640 MHz. For storage, there’s a 16GB internal storage space available, you can also upgrade up to 128GB with a memory card if you need more space. The P9 Life runs smoothly on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system with modified user interface.
Camera
Don’t underestimate the 13MP rear shooter on this baby, it captures 4K resolution images, just like most midrange. With image dimensions reaching 4160 x 3120 pixels, record videos of 1080 pixels as well, at 30 frames per second. The camera comes with a LED flash underneath and other features to bring out the best of every shoot. At the front, there’s a 5MP selfie camera that takes cute selfies.
Battery
Powering the Allview P9 Life is a 2500mAh removable Li-Ion battery with no fast charging technology support. It shouldn’t take up to 2.5 hours to fully charge up the 2500mAh battery.
