Animal Crossing – New Horizons – How to get a 3-star rating

With islands that can be rated 1 to 5 stars in Animal Crossing- New Horizons, 3 stars is a good start for players who reach their maximum. In Animal Crossing- New Horizons, residential services will eventually be moved to an entire building from the fragile tent. After doing this and Isabelle is unlocked, there are more new services available for players, including the process of unlocking the Island Ratings.

Tom Nook has his plan for the player islands, and that plan is to get enough guests and residents for KK Slider to come and play on the island. This would put the island on the map and make it known to the player communities. One of the steps to achieving this is to have a good city rating through the island ratings.

Animal Crossing- New Horizons – How to get a 3-star rating

1. Unlock island ratings

Since this feature is not available on its own, there are some requirements to unlock the ability to receive an evaluation from Isabelle:

  • Pay the initial debt with 5,000 Nook Miles.
  • Building Nook’s Cranny
  • Building the first bridge
  • Build and position the furniture for 3 incoming inhabitants
  • Construction of the building for residential services
  • Construction of a campsite

After all,, talking to Isabelle will open the option for an evaluation of the island. Below are multiple ways to increase the overall rating of the island.

2. Weeding the island

Just like in other major Animal Crossing titles, weeding is important in Animal Crossing- New Horizons. After all, having a presentable island is essential when it comes to evaluating.

Weeds should be removed, but especially close to areas where objects fall, such as trees since too many weeds in a city can completely scatter the objects that fall into them. It is also essential to collect weeds near the flowers, as the flowers require room to grow. Not all weeds need to be raised to reach the desired number of stars for the island, but the better.

3. Gardening

The growth and maintenance of flowers is another important factor in evaluating the island. While the flowers won’t wilt in Animal Crossing- New Horizons as in the past in Animal Crossing, watering them will encourage them to spread and even cross in new colors.

Other flowers can be purchased from Timmy and Tommy at Nook’s Cranny in different types and colors, but even more, can be excavated and brought to the island via Nook Miles tickets. By going to other islands, players can use a shovel to dig the flowers and keep the plant in their inventory so that it can be replanted later.

4. Decorate the exterior

After the upgrade of residential services, there will be a large number of new recipes and do-it-yourself oriented objects that can be purchased with Nook Miles from Nook Stop including fountains, hot springs, swimming pools, and vending machines. By placing at least 25 furniture items outside, the evaluation will positively influence.

5. Build fences

By making fencing in a DIY workbench, players will receive 10 pieces of fence per fence made. By placing this fence around, the island will appear more aesthetically ordered. Players can create paths, fence their courtyard, or even create a private garden.

6. Build bridges and slopes

To make sure the new city on the island has excellent trails, adding slopes and bridges will increase the island’s rating. This is the most expensive step to increase the stars, so for players who simply want to unlock KK Slider quickly, choosing the cheapest options would be the best.

Finally comes KK Slider

After confirming with Isabelle that the island has at least a 3-star rating, KK Slider will arrive on the island the next day. Players will be able to see his performance as Animal Crossing- New Horizons’ end credits are shown. From this point on, KK Slider will arrive on the island and perform every Saturday. Players will finally be able to access the Island Designer app on their Nookphone, allowing them to terraform their island, as well as create routes.
