Apple MacBook Pro 2024 Now with CPU up to 6 cores and 32GB of memory, True Tone display and T2 chip

Apple has updated the MacBook Pro with better performance and new features designed for professionals.

Available from July 12, the new MacBook Pro 2018 models with Touch Bar mount eighth-generation Intel Core processors, have 6 cores on the 15-inch model and are able to deliver up to 70% faster performance and 4 cores on the 13-inch model inches with performance up to twice as fast.

Developers with the new MacBook Pro can compile code faster and run different virtual machines and test environments more easily than before.

Other updates include support for up to 32GB of memory, on the 15-inch MacBook Pro, a True Tone display, and an improved third-generation keyboard for quieter typing. The SSD is available from 2TB on the 13-inch model and 4TB on the 15-inch model.

Other features include the Radeon Pro graphics card, the Force Touch trackpad, the Touch Bar and Touch ID, the dynamic stereo speakers, the silent cooling system designed by Apple and Thunderbolt 3 for data transfer, charging and connection up to two 5K displays or four external GPUs.

The Display Retina has 500 nits of brightness and supports the wide range of P3 colors in addition to True Tone technology (also in the TouchBar) to provide a more natural viewing experience for design and editing workflows as well as for everyday tasks such as browsing the web and writing e-mails.

Another new feature of the MacBook Pro is the T2 chip from Apple, introduced for the first time on the iMac Pro, which offers greater system security with support for secure boot and encrypted storage on the fly, and introduces for the first time the “Hey Siri” function on the Mac.

Back to School 2018 with MacBook Pro

The new MacBook Pro is part of Apple’s Back to School 2018 promotion available for college students, their parents, faculty and school staff on the Apple Store Education from July 12th. The promotion includes a pair of Beats headphones by buying any Mac or iPad Pro for the university that comes under the promotion, as well as education prices for Mac, iPad Pro, AppleCare, some accessories and more.

New leather cases for MacBook Pro

Introduced for the first time with MacBook, Apple leather cases are now available for the 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pro in Saddle Brown, Midnight Blue and, for the first time, Black. They are designed with high quality leather and a soft microfibre lining for extra protection.

macOS Mojave since this fall

The MacBook Pro 2018 will be upgradable with MacOS Mojave, the latest version of Apple’s desktop operating system previewed at developers at the WWDC 2018 conference, with the Dark Mode mode, the new Stacks feature that organizes the most messy desktops, iOS apps more common (including News, Borsa, Memo Vocali and Casa) are now available for the first time on the Mac, FaceTime with support for group calls, and the Mac App Store in a new look.

The new MacBook Pro 2018 models are available from 2.099 euros and 2.899 euros respectively for the 13-inch model with Touch Bar and 15-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar online at apple.com/it and at some Apple stores and authorized dealers Apple.
