Apple Pencil 2 is not compatible with older iPads, the first generation is not compatible with new models

Apple a few days ago, alongside iPad Pro, showed a new Apple Pencil with enhanced functionality. At the same time, it has created a situation where your iPad decides on which version of Apple Pencil to buy and how much to pay for it.

The new generation of Apple Pencil with enhancements such as automatic pairing, inductive charging, magnetic grip or touchpad is only compatible with the new 12.9-inch iPad of the third generation and the new 11-inch iPad Pro.

The older generation of Apple Pencil is compatible only with older devices, including the 12.9 “iPad For First and Second Generations, the 10.5-inch iPad Pro, the older 9.7-inch iPad Pro and the iPad of the sixth generation. So you do not pair it with the latest generation of tablets.

The difference is, of course, even in the price. While the original Apple Pencil still costs $ 99, the second generation costs $ 129.
