Asus rolls out new update to Zenfone 6

Asus is expected to unveil its latest device, the Zenfone 6 as the Asus 6Z in India on June 19. The reason for this is the order by the Delhi Court on Asus to stop using Zen or Zenfone in the country due to issues with the trademark. Now, just a few days to the launch, Asus has rolled out a new update to the phone and it comes with many improvements in the phone’s camera app.

Asus is currently rolling out the updates to all global units of the Asus Zenfone 6. The update’s version number is 16.1210.1904.133. Included in the update are new features like the addition of Super Night mode to the ultra-wide angle lens of the Asus Zenfone 6. The update also comes with features to help optimize the translation strings in the Settings menu and improve system stability as well. Weather information has also been added to the device’s lock screen.

Optimization of UI Animation and headphone sound quality are part of the package that comes with the new update. Finally, the camera rotation stability has had remarkable mprovements. Check out the full changelog of the 16.1210.1904.133 update below.

The major highlight of the Asus Zenfone 6 is the rotating camera mechanism which it sports. Thanks to the mechanism, the rear camera of the phone can flip and turns into a selfie shooter without the user having to touch any button. The dual camera setup includes a 48 MP primary camera with f/1.79 aperture, and a 13 MP secondary camera with a 125-degree ultra-wide angle lens and f/2.4 aperture.

The phone also comes with a 6.4-inch Full HD+ NanoEdge screen which has a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 600nits brightness, HDR support and is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 6. It also packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset along with an Adreno 640 GPU.
