Asus Zenfone 5 VS Asus Zenfone Max Pro – The Design
Well, the design is definitely different here. The Asus Zenfone 5 looks more like a premium device than the Zenfone Max Pro. Even though they both feature a front glass with an aluminum body. The aluminum back of the Zenfone 5 reflects light, which gives it a shining look. If you’re not a fan of heavy smartphones, then the Zenfone 5 should be your choice. The Asus Zenfone 5 weighs 155 grams and measures 153 x 75.7 x 7.9 mm in dimensions. While the Zenfone Max Pro weighs 180 grams and measures 159 x 76 x 8.5 mm in dimensions.
The Asus Zenfone 5 and Zenfone Max Pro have their dual rear camera with LED flash placed at the top left corner. At the center is the fingerprint sensor and below it is the Asus brand name. The Asus Zenfone Max Pro is only available in two body colors; Black and Gray. While the Asus Zenfone 5 is also available in only two body colors; Midnight Blue and Meteor Silver.

The Asus Zenfone 5 features a notch display, with just minimal bottom bezel. While the Zenfone Max Pro has no notch display and features minimal bezels at the top and bottom of the screen. The Zenfone 5 sports a 6.2 inch IPS LCD touchscreen, 18.7:9 aspect ratio, 1080 x 2246 pixels resolution and 402 PPI density. The display of the Zenfone 5 is protected by an unspecified version of Corning Gorilla Glass.
While the Asus Zenfone Max Pro features a 5.99 inch IPS LCD touchscreen, 18:9 aspect ratio, 1080 x 2160 pixels resolution and 402 PPI density. The Zenfone Max Pro should still offer good display quality like the Zenfone 5.

The dual rear camera of the Asus Zenfone 5 consist of a primary 12MP f/1.8 aperture sensor with a secondary 8MP f/2.0 aperture sensor. And features phase detection autofocus, gyro EIS, and dual-LED (dual tone) flash. For selfies, the Zenfone 5 comes with an 8MP f/2.0 aperture shooter. On paper, the Asus Zenfone 5 wins the Zenfone Max Pro.
The Zenfone Max Pro’s dual rear camera is equipped with a primary 13MP f/2.2 aperture shooter and a secondary 5MP f/2.4 aperture shooter. While at the front camera is an 8MP f/2.2 aperture shooter.
