BlitzWolf BW-BS3 Selfie Stick Review
I know by now, we must have come across quite a number of selfie sticks. In fact, I think it is safe to say that the selfie stick era is fast passing out and fading off. This, really, is understandable – the selfie stick has lost the spicing touch. Majority nowadays just picture the selfie stick to be “just another basic long stick they can do without”.
However, with the BlitzWolf BW-BS3, you get something that the average selfie stick do not provide – multiple functionalities. The BlitzWolf BW-BS3 can be used and transformed into a mini-tripod, a table top tripod and as a selfie stick.
With the capabilities of the BW-BS3 selfie stick, one would expect it be as heavy as a rock. That, however, isn’t the case here. The BlitzWolf selfie stick is made from Aluminum alloy and rubber (which are lightweight materials). The Aluminum allows for easy carriage of the accessory, while the inclusion of rubber is for easy grip and proper stance. The BlitzWolf BW-BS3 selfie stick weighs only 148 grams.
When folded, the BW-BS3 has a dimension of 198 x 46 x 27 mm. When stretched into a selfie stick, the maximum length the accessory can reach is 600mm. Now that’s super long.
The cradle bed (cradle) that holds the smartphone to be used with the selfie stick has an 85mm maximum length. The cradle will hold most 3.5-inch devices to 6-inch phablets efficiently without a hitch. You can’t possibly expect the BlitzWolf BW-BS3 to hold your 7-inch or 8-inch tablets without the device falling off the accessory.
Another feature of the BlitzWolf BW-BS3 selfie stick that I particularly find interesting is the cradle and cradle hinge rotation. The cradle’s hinge can rotate not just vertically, but horizontally too! And the interesting part, the rotation is easy and automated. All you need is to control the cradle rotation to the best selfie angle using the detachable Bluetooth controller.
Horizontally, a rotation of 360° around the neck/hinge of the cradle is obtainable. Capture and make pictures and motion videos of everything around you without having to move your hands. However, the cradle’s neck/hinge can be moved vertically (face up and face down) only to a 203° angle.
The cradle (phone holder) in itself can be adjusted to any angle on a 360° scale.
When snapping a selfie, you can easily click on the capture button on the controller while it is still attached to the handle of the accessory. However, when you transform the 3-in-1 stick into a mini tripod or a table top tripod, you can easily detach the Bluetooth controller and take pictures at a distance. All it takes is a click.
Configuring the controller and syncing with your smartphone is as easy as it comes. All you need to do is to pair the controller and your smart phone. And that’s it. Start taking pictures at the push of a button and at a distance away from your device.
Battery
The controller is graced with a 65mAh rechargable Li-Polymer battery that can take up to 50,000 selfies when fully charged. There is a micro charging port to charge the controller.
PRICING AND AVAILABILITY
The BlitzWolf BW-BS3 is a multipurpose accessory to have for a smartphone. As useful as the stick is, it surprisingly comes at a pretty affordable price. With $18 – $20, you can own a unit of the BlitzWolf BW-BS3 selfie stick.
